Bank of America Stadium Charlotte Tickets

Bank of America Stadium events in Uptown Charlotte

Bank of America Stadium opened in the summer of 1996 as a purpose-built home for the Carolina Panthers. Its Uptown location made the ground a major part of Charlotte's central sporting landscape, with the playing field, training facilities and club offices developed together.

The stadium is also home to Charlotte FC, bringing Major League Soccer into the same setting as NFL football. International soccer, college football and concerts add other uses to the regular professional team schedules.

The entrance arches and open bowl

Large arches and towers mark the stadium's entrances. The exterior incorporates the Panthers' black, silver and blue colours, while landscaped pathways and live oak trees contribute to the grounds around the building.

Inside, the stadium has broad concourses serving the lower and upper seating levels. Video boards sit above both end zones, and ribbon displays run around parts of the bowl. The open-air design leaves the playing surface and audience connected with the surrounding city rather than enclosing them beneath a roof.

Club seating and suites

Club seats extend along both sidelines, with an enclosed, climate-controlled concourse behind them. The club level contains lounge areas and places to gather away from the regular seating rows.

The suites occupy the 300 and 400 levels. A refurbishment completed in 2015 introduced fully retractable windows, allowing the suite frontage to open towards the field. The renewed spaces combine viewing seats with interior lounge areas, giving them a different setting from the open stands.

The stadium's published maps distinguish regular bowl seating, club-level positions and suites. These different layers form part of the same venue used for both football and soccer.

A wider history of live events

The stadium hosted Billy Graham's Carolinas Crusade in 1996, followed by the Rolling Stones' Bridges to Babylon tour in 1997. Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw brought their Brothers of the Sun tour here in 2012, adding another large concert to its history.

Its soccer record includes CONCACAF Gold Cup matches and visits from clubs such as Liverpool, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. Explore more concerts on TixChoice for live music at other venues.

The Mint Street setting

The visitor address is 800 South Mint Street. The stadium site lies among Mint, Graham and Morehead streets, beside Interstate 277. An accessible drop-off point is identified at Mint and Morehead, while captioning for public-address announcements is displayed on the stadium's ribbon boards.
