Swansea Arena events at Copr Bay

Swansea Building Society Arena is the live-entertainment venue at the heart of Copr Bay. Opened in 2022, it forms part of the city-centre regeneration district linking central Swansea with the Marina and waterfront. The venue is operated by ATG Entertainment.

Its programme extends across live music, comedy, theatre and e-sports, alongside conferences and exhibitions. The auditorium was built as a flexible performance space rather than a hall limited to one type of production, giving the building a role across different kinds of live event.

Stalls, circle and a flexible auditorium

The main auditorium combines stalls and circle areas. Retractable seating allows the floor to change between standing and fully seated arrangements, while the circle provides an elevated part of the audience layout. The venue publishes a sample fully seated plan as well as layouts for individual performances.

A purpose-built partition can divide the auditorium floor from the circle for separate activities. This modular design also supports conferences, exhibitions and banquets, showing how the same building can host events with very different floor requirements.

Copper details and spaces beyond the stage

The arena has three concourse levels. Copper finishes and the curved roof façade echo the exterior's flowing shape and the nearby sweep of Swansea Bay. Light, open circulation areas surround the performance spaces, creating a different setting from the enclosed auditorium itself.

Named hospitality spaces include the Gower Gold Hospitality Lounge and the FSG Lounge. The arena also contains meeting rooms and smaller event areas, placing its public performances within a wider complex of social and business spaces.

A coastal-park approach to the venue

The arena sits within Copr Bay's coastal park. A gateway bridge crosses Oystermouth Road, linking the city centre with the arena side of the development and onward towards the Marina, beach and coastal path.

Step-free approaches lead across Copr Bay Bridge and up from Oystermouth Road through the park. Lifts serve the venue's internal levels, while designated wheelchair positions are available in the circle. This raised setting is a defining part of the building's approach and arrival experience.

The address is Oystermouth Road, Bae Copr Bay. Swansea railway station connects the city with London and regional routes, while the Quadrant bus station is the nearest main bus interchange listed by the venue.
