Bayern Munich tickets at the Allianz Arena
The Allianz Arena has been Bayern Munich's home since 2005. Built as a dedicated football stadium in Fröttmaning, it replaced the Olympiastadion as the club's regular matchday setting. Its bowl has lower, middle and upper levels, giving supporters a choice between proximity to the pitch and a higher view of the whole playing area.
The stadium's own facts distinguish standing areas in the north and south ends from seated locations around the ground. That distinction matters when comparing admission types: an offer for a standing area describes a different experience from a reserved seat. The stand area, level and ticket type explain the location more clearly than a broad reference to the Allianz Arena.
A home game in Munich
The U6 serves Fröttmaning station, with a walk across the stadium approach to reach the ground. Visitors arriving through central Munich can connect via Marienplatz. The stadium publishes a separate route for visiting supporters, with their entrance on the north-west side, rather than assuming every spectator approaches the same gate.
The Allianz Arena visitor information explains that away approach. Arena tours and the FC Bayern Museum offer other ways to explore the club's home, with their own visitor arrangements apart from the ticket for a live match.
The players and places behind Bayern's history
Bayern were founded in Munich in 1900, with the establishing document signed at the Gisela restaurant. Their first national championship came in 1932, when they beat Eintracht Frankfurt in the final. Those early chapters preceded the Bundesliga era and the European successes most closely associated with the club today.
The breakthrough generation included Sepp Maier, Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Müller. Bayern entered the Bundesliga in 1965 and won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1967. A move to the Olympiastadion followed in 1972, providing the home from which the club's great European side emerged.
Three successive European Cups
Bayern won the European Cup in 1974, 1975 and 1976. The first final required a replay against Atlético Madrid; victories over Leeds United and Saint-Étienne followed in the next two seasons. The sequence established the Maier, Beckenbauer and Müller generation as a central part of Bayern's identity.
