About Newcastle vs Arsenal Tickets

Newcastle United’s home meetings with Arsenal have produced some of St James’ Park’s most memorable comebacks. In the 2010–11 campaign, Cheick Tioté’s late volley completed a recovery after Joey Barton’s penalties and Leon Best’s goal had brought Newcastle back into the contest. Abou Diaby’s dismissal was a turning point after Arsenal had controlled the opening half.

Another home recovery came in 2017–18, when Ayoze Pérez cancelled out Alexandre Lacazette’s opener before Matt Ritchie scored the winner in front of the Gallowgate End. Earlier meetings included David Ginola and Les Ferdinand scoring in the 1995–96 season, and Alan Shearer’s long-range free-kick during the final-day encounter in 1999–2000. Gary Speed and Andy O’Brien also scored in that match.

Nolberto Solano supplied a different kind of winning moment in 2005–06. Shearer created his late goal after Gilberto Silva had been sent off. These documented meetings span several Newcastle teams and different Arsenal eras, giving the fixture a history beyond a single famous afternoon.

The ground remains the home setting for Newcastle, with its club shop beneath the Milburn Stand and supporter services around the stadium. Matchday maps distinguish seating areas, accessible entrances and family facilities.

St James’ Park seating guide

The ground’s named areas include the Milburn Stand, East Stand, Gallowgate End and Leazes End. The East Stand replaced the Popular Side terrace, with construction beginning in 1972. The Milburn Stand replaced the old West Stand and opened in 1988, carrying Jackie Milburn’s name into the modern ground.

Away supporters are seated on Level 7, reached by a substantial stair route. Stewards can direct visitors who need assistance towards a lift. Around the ground, stand signs and the turnstile information printed on the ticket identify the route into the seating area.

A full stand, tier and block description gives a clearer location than a broad side-of-ground label.
