Mercedes-Benz Stadium tickets and event history

Home to the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United, the stadium has staged the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, MLS All-Star Game, MLS Cup, Super Bowl LIII, Copa America and the FIFA Club World Cup. The SEC Championship, Celebration Bowl and Peach Bowl return each year.

The camera-lens roof

The roof seems to rotate open like a camera lens, but that is an optical illusion. Eight petals slide in straight lines, each moving independently yet all at the same time. Each petal cantilevers about 200 feet towards the centre, and when closed they lock into a watertight seal. Eight mechanised bogies drive the petals along an inner rail, attached to an outer uplift rail by roller mechanisms.

The petals are clad in air-inflated ETFE pillows, a lightweight, durable and translucent material, so the bowl stays bright even with the roof shut.

HOK drew inspiration for the roof from the oculus of Rome’s Pantheon. The facade follows the same angular form, with alternating insulated metal and ETFE panels inspired by a falcon’s wing. On the west side, a transparent window brings daylight into the building and opens views towards Atlanta’s skyline.

The Halo Board

The Halo Board was the first display of its kind, a 360-degree screen circling the bowl alongside the Mega Column.

Seating and spaces

Premium spaces sit on every level, and standing-room gathering areas run across all three concourses for fans who like to move around. Several neighbourhood bars offer sweeping views of the field. Wider concourses and social gathering spaces help fans move between areas. The 100 Yard Club runs the length of the pitch, with a row of concessions bookended by bars.

Art and Atlanta character

Art curated with the Savannah College of Art and Design reflects Atlanta's culture and its fans, making it one of the largest permanent public art displays in any sports venue.

Getting around

The stadium’s sustainable design extends beyond its lightweight roof material to connections with public transport, bike trails and open recreation space. HOK’s project records its LEED Platinum certification. TixChoice compares ticket sellers; your chosen seller completes the purchase.
