Buying St Mirren Tickets in Paisley
St Mirren match tickets lead to The SMiSA Stadium on Greenhill Road. The club has played there since it moved from its previous ground on Love Street in January 2009. Club notices from 2017 call it the Paisley 2021 Stadium, and the club has also called it its St Mirren Park home. TixChoice compares listings from ticket sellers, and the seller you choose completes the purchase.
From Shortroods to St Mirren 150
St Mirren played their first match on 6 October 1877, beating Johnstone Britannia 1–0 at Shortroods. That game is the starting point for St Mirren 150, the official identity the club has created to mark 150 years of football in Paisley.
The honours list includes Scottish Cup wins in 1926, 1959 and 1987 and the League Cup in 2013. St Mirren are also the only Scottish winner of the Anglo-Scottish Cup. In December 2025 the Buddies beat Celtic at Hampden Park to win the Premier Sports Cup, the club's fifth major honour. The club describes itself as the first fan-owned club in the UK to win a major trophy. The 2025/26 season ended with top-flight status secured through a Play-Off victory over Partick Thistle. In 2024, the club's summer also included a UEFA Conference League Second Qualifying Round tie.
Owned by Its Supporters
In July 2021 the St Mirren Independent Supporters Association (SMiSA) acquired chairman Gordon Scott's remaining shares and became the club's 51% majority owner. The move came in conjunction with Kibble, a charity and social enterprise that became a part-owner in 2020. That partnership let SMiSA complete fan ownership in five years rather than under the ten-year plan set out in 2016.
The club's 2025 accessibility report puts Kibble's stake at 27.5% and notes that Kibble also offers staff time and commercial expertise. The other 21.5% is spread among several hundred small shareholders. The club says the model is believed to be unique in top-flight European football, because it is owned by supporters and run in partnership with a charity.
Inside The SMiSA Stadium
The stadium has four modern stands, all fully seated and covered. The Main Stand and West Stand are the two the club has opened for its supporters at smaller fixtures such as pre-season friendlies. Its notices treat them as the home end.
SMiSA members part-funded a disabled platform at the back of the Main Stand, which the club opened with the St Mirren Disabled Supporters Association. The platform was the first contribution from members' quarterly spend under the #BuyTheBuds scheme. The association's chair described it as the first phase of developing the stadium to further improve accessibility.
In early 2017 the disability-access review site Euan's Guide gave the ground, then called the Paisley 2021 Stadium, an overall five-star rating. In its article on Scottish football grounds, the only other ground to receive that rating was Celtic Park. Later, St Mirren asked the Renfrewshire charity I Am Me Scotland to carry out an independent review of ticketing and accessibility. The review supports the club's ambition to become Scotland's first Disability Friendly stadium.
