The sound behind Tame Impala tickets
Tame Impala is the project of Kevin Parker, an artist from Australia who works as a singular creator. He plays every instrument on his records and also acts as writer, producer, mixer and engineer. That approach is why he is often described as a studio genius. It also shapes the music, which is built from transcendent, genre-bending sonic landscapes rather than a conventional band sound. Interscope calls him one of the most influential voices of the last decade.
From InnerSpeaker to Lonerism
The full-length catalogue begins with InnerSpeaker in 2010. Lonerism followed in 2012, and Apple Music describes it as a hypnotic descent into psych-pop paranoia. Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, from Lonerism, is among the tracks Apple Music highlights for the project. Interscope describes the albums as critically acclaimed. The early records remain available on vinyl and CD through the official store, alongside an InnerSpeaker 10th Anniversary Box Set.
Currents and the turn to the dancefloor
Currents, released in 2015, moved synths to the front. Apple Music presents it as a dance-directed psychedelic opus, and Interscope notes its RIAA Platinum certification. The Less I Know The Better has passed two billion streams and earned a place in the Billionaires Club. Across the project, releases have gathered numerous gold and platinum certifications worldwide.
The Slow Rush and radio success
The Slow Rush arrived in 2020 and went to number one in multiple territories. It became his highest-charting album to that point in both the US and UK, with top-10 placings around the world. A companion set, The Slow Rush B-Sides & Remixes, followed in 2022. Tame Impala has had numerous top-10 songs on US alternative radio, and both Lost In Yesterday and Is It True reached number one.
Deadbeat and a new chapter
Deadbeat, Parker's fifth full-length album, was released through Columbia Records on 17 October 2025. Three advance singles introduced it: Loser, End of Summer and Dracula. Dracula broke into the Billboard Hot 100 and made an instant chart debut at AAA and Alternative, his biggest debuts yet. My Old Ways opens the album, and Dracula later received a remix with JENNIE.
Awards and collaborations
Parker has received five Grammy nominations and won twice. One win was for Neverender, his 2024 collaboration with Justice, and the other was for his own song End of Summer. In Australia he has won 15 ARIA Awards from 32 nominations. He has also won the BRIT Award for Best International Band and received nominations for two Billboard Music Awards and an American Music Award.
As a writer and producer, he has worked with artists including:
- The Weeknd, SZA, Rihanna and Lady Gaga
- Dua Lipa, Travis Scott, Kali Uchis and A$AP Rocky
- Mark Ronson, Gorillaz, Thundercat and Miguel
He has also appeared on several major film soundtracks.

Interscope credits the ravenous demand of fans for taking Tame Impala to headline festivals and theatres around the world, and it praises a transcendent live performance. Later label biographies describe the project headlining festivals and arenas worldwide. The catalogue behind those shows now spans five albums, from InnerSpeaker to Deadbeat.
